After the birth of her first child, Danielle Morgan decided that she wanted to leave her job in retail for a career in the medical sector. However, she felt underqualified to apply for another position. She soon sought out Pitman Training and began the Medical Secretary Diploma to help her pursue her dream.
“I was first inspired to work in the medical sector while sat in a GP surgery. I saw the secretary there in action and was really impressed with how they handled everything. As a very organised person, the idea of working in a busy office carrying out admin duties and using computers really appealed to me.
“I loved the fact that Pitman’s flexible courses meant I could plan my studies around my job and baby. Because of the online provision, the lockdown had no impact on my studies, and I was able to complete everything in plenty of time. I found the learning environment at Pitman very supportive. There was never any judgement when I didn’t understand something, and I always had help from my learning coaches whenever I needed it.
“This course has helped me with my confidence and allowed me to move out of retail and secure a new administration job. Now, I provide admin support to a team of seven and couldn’t be happier with myself.”
