Aims and Objectives

The Foundation Diploma in Bookkeeping will give you the skills you need to gain industry qualifications that will enable you to gain an entry level position in the accounts department of any organisation either as a Bookkeeper, Accounts Assistant or Purchase Ledger Clerk for example.

Not only will this diploma give you practical experience of the processes involved with both manual and computerised bookkeeping, you’ll gain valuable hands-on experience using real life scenarios throughout your training. Courses Included

Bookkeeping - Module 1

People with strong bookkeeping skills are always in demand. This course is designed to give you an advantage over others with less experience, teaching you double-entry bookkeeping.

Bookkeeping - Module 2

This course is the second module designed to further your bookkeeping studies using the double entry system so you can keep accurate bookkeeping records.

Bookkeeping - Module 3

This third bookkeeping module covers many areas including using the journal, and year end accounts which include the profit and loss account and balance sheet.

 

Excel

Microsoft Excel is the world’s most popular spreadsheet program. This course is suitable for beginner to intermediate level.

Over 10 self-paced lessons you’ll learn how to format your spreadsheet to best display your information, handle simple and complex formulas, insert charts, learn how to insert functions such as IFERROR and much much more.

Sage 50 Accounts Ireland

This Sage 50 Accounts course will help you learn how to process the finances of a business using this globally renowned accounting software.  This is a professional, interactive training course using Sage Accounts, and is designed for those who already have an understanding of manual bookkeeping processes.

Numeric Data Entry

This is a fast, specialist course of 2-3 hours that will teach you how to touch-type using the numeric keypad, essential if you regularly input figures into a computer as part of your role.

Effective Business Communication

This excellent course will raise your game when it comes to business communication skills, which is often top of the list of qualities demanded by employers. 

Understanding Business Accounts in Ireland

For a business, nothing is more important than its finances. This course will provide you with a good understanding of business accounts – essential knowledge if you run a small business.

Costing and Pricing

Invaluable for anyone responsible for accounts or setting pricing within a business, this short course is something we’re sure you’ll get true value from, in terms of real pound signs!

Introduction to Irish Business Structure and Law

If you have or are thinking about setting up your own business, this course will provide you with an essential grounding in the basics of business structure and law.

Outlook

This flexible study Outlook course takes you through everything you need to use this popular email system as a work tool, from navigation and views through contacts and appointments, to tasks and folders.

Word

Our Microsoft Word course is designed to provide you with the essential skills you will need to be proficient in Word, in a work environment, in as short a time as possible.
