Bernie Ryan – Gained employment shortly after her training with Pitman Training
After graduating from university, I joined a Financial Institution for whom I worked for 10 years. I was made redundant in 2010 which came as a big shock. In the months that I followed I found it quite difficult to secure new employment and my confidence did suffer.
While looking at the internet one day, I came across Pitman Training and the course that really interested me was the Advanced Accounts Diploma. The information on the website was very informative and I made an appointment to meet the Course Advisor in the Limerick Office. I met Denise Duggan who was so welcoming and knowledgeable and explained everything to me in great detail.
The thing that really impressed me is that the course is a self-study course. I could do most of my study at home which was very helpful as I have a young family. I could also call in on a Saturday morning to complete the modules I was unable to do at home and the assessments.
I really enjoyed all aspects of the course. I could complete the work at my own pace. The workbooks are very easy to follow and it was very beneficial for me to be able to keep the workbooks as I have often referred to them if I am unsure of something. I could also contact Denise if I had any queries or problems.
Shortly after joining Pitman Training, I gained employment with a new company and I am really happy there. I believe that completing the course provided me with new confidence and a skill set which I am now able to bring to my new workplace.
